As I trudge toward the end of my college degree, I've become a bit overwhelmed and decided shelf my blogging until graduation day in May. But today I was plugging away at an article about LED holiday lights at work and had an overwhelming desire to post to my blog.
I started blogging as a way to inspire and express myself. I love creativity talking about creativity, writing about creativity and doing creative things. I work in the utility industry and while I love my job, electricity doesn't compare to the nostalgic memories of brainstorming at the ad agency I once worked for. My blog fills that void.
So, I'm sneaking in a post about playing wedding photographer for my cousin's wedding at the end of October. Below are photos from my first wedding photography gig. A tremendous thank you to my fabulous sister-in-law Megan for all of her help!
Megan gets complete credit for this photo!
Again, all Megan.
I'm not about to start charging for my services, but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.
Another fun story: On our way to Mike and Megan's for a Halloween party, I hit a deer with my car. Actually, it hit me. Either way, Blake and I were wandering around in the middle of the road in our Halloween costumes after the incident. What can you do but laugh? We were walking around in the middle of country road dressed up like Ice Man from Top Gun and a spider web! It was hilarious. I'll take disappointing calls about the repairs to have that memory locked away in my mind.
